Amazon referral fee for Fine Art (2026)
Amazon's referral fee for Fine Art is 20% of the first $100, 15% up to $1,000, 10% up to $5,000, 5% of the rest: each slice of the price pays its own rate. What to watch when you price
- Only part of the price gets the lower rate. A $10,000.00 sale pays $20.00 on the first $100.00, $135.00 on $100.00 to $1,000.00, $400.00 on $1,000.00 to $5,000.00, $250.00 on the rest: $805.00 (8.05%), not the $2,000.00 that 20% of the whole price would be.
- Shipping counts. The fee is on the total the buyer pays, so shipping and gift wrap the buyer pays on a merchant-fulfilled order are charged at this category's rate too. Sales tax isn't.
When you refund a buyer
Amazon gives back the referral fee minus its refund administration fee, the lesser of $5.00 or 20% of the referral fee. On a $1,000.00 Fine Art sale, the $155.00 referral fee comes back as $150.00.
