Amazon FBA fee calculator
The fulfillment fee Amazon charges for every unit it ships, from the 2026 US rate card: your item's size tier and shipping weight, the non-peak and holiday peak rates, and the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge.
Amazon charges by dimensional weight here: the package's volume ÷ 139 is 2.33 lb, more than its 1.5 lb unit weight. Fees shown include the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge Amazon added on April 17, 2026.

Every unit Amazon ships for you carries one fulfillment fee. It depends on four things: the size tier your packaged item falls in, its shipping weight, its price, and whether it is apparel or dangerous goods.
1. Size tier
Since January 15, 2026 there are five tiers. Your item goes in the first one it fits.
| Size tier | Longest × middle × shortest side | Shipping weight | Length + girth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small standard | 15 × 12 × 0.75 in | Up to 16 oz | — |
| Large standard | 18 × 14 × 8 in | Up to 20 lb | — |
| Small bulky | 37 × 28 × 20 in | Up to 50 lb | Up to 130 in |
| Large bulky | 59 × 33 × 33 in | Up to 50 lb | Up to 130 in |
| Extra-large | Anything bigger | Bands to 50, 70, 150 lb and over | Over 130 in |
2. Shipping weight
Small standard items are charged by their unit weight. Everything else is charged by the greater of the unit weight and the dimensional weight: length × width × height in inches ÷ 139. Bulky and extra-large items count at least 2 inches of width and height. A light but large box can cost far more than its weight suggests.
3. Price band
Items priced under $10 get Amazon's lower Low-Price FBA rates. Items from $10 to $50 (both included) pay the regular rates, and items over $50 pay a little more for standard sizes.
4. Season and surcharge
Holiday peak rates apply to units shipped from October 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027, even when the order was placed earlier. From April 17, 2026 Amazon also adds a 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge to every fulfillment fee.
What this calculator leaves out
- The referral fee (usually 15% of the price) and storage fees: use the profit calculator.
- The low-inventory-level fee Amazon adds when you keep less than 28 days of supply.
- The lower rates for standard items certified Ships in Product Packaging, and the packaging fee for bulky items that are not.
- Overmax handling, lithium battery and other special fees.
Charged more than this?
Amazon measures your products itself, and a package measured even slightly bigger can land in a dearer tier for every unit after. MyProfit's free fee check compares what Amazon charged on each order with your usual rate and Amazon's own measurements, and tells you which SKUs to ask Amazon to re-measure.
