Amazon only accepts a reimbursement claim inside a fixed window, and a late claim is refused. Pick what happened and the date, and see when you can file and the last day to do it.

Amazon's claim windows
| Claim | Counted from | You can file |
|---|---|---|
| Customer refunded, item not returned (or returned damaged) | Refund date | From day 60 to day 120 |
| Lost or damaged in an Amazon warehouse | Date Amazon reported it lost or damaged | Within 60 days |
| Removal order lost in transit | Date the removal shipment was created | From day 15 to day 75 |
| Other removal order problems (wrong or damaged items) | Date the removal was delivered to you | Within 60 days |
These are the windows Amazon set on October 23, 2024. Since November 2024 Amazon reimburses most warehouse losses and customer returns by itself, and since March 31, 2025 it pays your manufacturing cost, not the sale price. Amazon changes these rules from time to time: check Seller Central before you rely on a date.
