Set up MyProfit
Connect Amazon, add your costs, and what to expect in the first day.
Three steps get you to real profit numbers. The first takes two minutes; the rest you can do while your orders load.
1. Connect Seller Central
Go to Amazon connections and choose Connect North America (US and Canada) or Connect Europe. Approve MyProfit on Amazon's page and you're sent back. Orders start loading within the hour; a full year of history can take a few hours, or longer for a large catalogue. See Connecting Amazon.
2. Connect Amazon Ads (if you advertise)
On the same page, choose Connect Amazon Ads. Ad spend then comes off your profit and the Advertising pages fill in. The first reports can take up to a day to arrive.
3. Enter your landed costs
Profit is only as good as your costs. On Costs, every product you've sold appears automatically with a cost of zero. Click a cost to type it in (product, sea freight, air freight, tariff, other), or download the spreadsheet, fill it in and import it. Past orders are updated to match. See Landed costs.
Until a product has a cost, its profit is overstated. The Overview and Products pages flag products sold without one.
What to expect on day one
- Orders keep arriving every 45 minutes.
- Amazon fees start as Amazon's estimates and switch to the real figures when each settlement is paid (every two weeks or so). North American accounts only for now: see How MyProfit works out profit.
- Ads, inventory and returns load once a day.
- Reimbursements (Amazon US): within a day of connecting, MyProfit checks your last 90 days of refunds, returns and settlements and lists any refunded units Amazon hasn't reimbursed yet. See Reimbursements.
Then start with the Overview. Everything is in Pacific time, like Seller Central's US reports.
